What a fantastic day we had today! It was the first open day between Macquarie University and Community Rowing Club, and it was a blast!
We had a chance to see some amazing crews rowing on the water, showing off their skills and teamwork. Some of them were current students, some were alumni, and some were members of the Community Rowing Club. They all had one thing in common: a passion for rowing and a love for the sport.
We also enjoyed a delicious barbeque, courtesy of Macquarie University, who generously supplied the food for the event. It was a great opportunity to mingle with the rowers, coaches, and staff from both organizations, and to learn more about their programs and opportunities.
One of the highlights of the day was meeting some of the former members of the rowing club, who shared their stories and memories with us. They told us about their achievements, challenges, and joys of being part of this amazing community. They also gave the rowers some tips and advice on how to improve their rowing skills on the water – fantastic!
We want to thank Macquarie University for hosting this wonderful event. We had a blast, and we can’t wait for the next one! We hope to see you all again soon!
